Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mediavyr Player handles information when you use the app on supported Apple devices.

1. No Mediavyr account required

Mediavyr Player does not require you to create a Mediavyr account to use the app.

2. Media sources and provider credentials

You may choose to enter credentials, playlist URLs, server addresses or network-library information in order to connect to media sources you control or are authorized to use. This information is used to provide the functionality you request. Your external provider or server may independently process information according to its own privacy practices.

3. Playback data, favorites and settings

The app may store playback progress, favorites, history and app settings on your device. When iCloud synchronization is enabled and supported, selected app data may be synchronized through Apple's iCloud services so it can remain available across your supported Apple devices.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Mediavyr receives entitlement information needed to determine whether Premium access is active. Mediavyr does not receive your complete payment card details.

5. Local and network media

When you connect local storage or an SMB network library, Mediavyr accesses the files and metadata necessary to display and play the content you selected. Your network server remains under your control.

6. Third-party services

If you connect an IPTV provider, playlist host, EPG source, SMB server or other external service, requests are sent directly to that service as necessary to retrieve the information or media you asked the app to use. Those third parties may have their own privacy policies.

7. Children

Mediavyr is a general-purpose media player and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Parental control features are available to help households manage access within the app.

8. Data sale and advertising

Mediavyr does not sell personal information to advertisers. Mediavyr does not provide media content and does not use your provider library as advertising inventory.

9. Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect app data. No system can guarantee absolute security, especially when you connect third-party servers or providers outside Mediavyr's control.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app or its features change. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published.
